FREE Dementia Workshop for Family Carers in Canterbury and Swale
Date of next workshop:
Due to Covid-19 next date TBC
Would you be interested in attending a virtual demential workshop?
With the current situation under Covid-19, we are very keen to hear from people who would be interested in attending a dementia workshop via Zoom (online workshop will go ahead depending on level of interest!).
Please telephone 07737052702 to register your interest!
In April 2014, Alison Carter and her mother, Leslie Fenn, piloted a new workshop specifically designed for family carers of people living with dementia in Canterbury and Swale areas.
Following very positive feedback from participants, workshops are being run on a regular basis - see poster alongside for more details.
What is a Local Dementia Action Alliance?
A Local Dementia Action Alliance (LDAA) is an easy structure for creating a Dementia Friendly Community (DFC). A LDAA is a group of people representing different sectors within an area who have come together to create a DFC alongside local people affected by dementia.
Everyone is welcome to join.
For more information, contact Alison Carter, Chair of Faversham DAA on 01795 597983
Alison also can be contacted about attending the DAA for Canterbury & Ashford which she co-chairs with Liz Taylor from Alzheimer's Society.
***LDAA COVID-19 UPDATE***
Although dementia action alliance meetings and activities, including those linked to the May 2020 Dementia Action Week, were suspended due to the C-19 outbreak, we are in the process of re-grouping and planning for the future.
Meetings will recommence via Zoom in June. If you would like to register your interest in attending an online meeting, or in getting involved in dementia friendly communities work, please do get in touch.
