Qualified to care for you

Experience exceptional quality support with No Place Like Home

We are committed to delivering a service of the highest quality to our clients. All of our staff receive on-going professional and personal development to ensure top performance and have enhanced security clearance. We welcome external scrutiny of our service through inspection and our Advisory Board.

Care Quality Commission Inspected and Rated

No Place Like Home is registered and regularly inspected by Care Quality Commission (CQC) to ensure that all aspects of our service comply with the Health and Social Care Act (Regulated Activities) 2014 Part 3 Fundamental Standards, and CQC (Registration) Regulations 2009. We are currently rated Overall Outstanding by CQC at our last inspection in July 2016. Fewer than 1% of providers operating in the health and social care sector nationally currently enjoy this top rating.

Independent Advisory Board

As an important part of ensuring that No Place Like Home is a well-led organisation, from the outset we established an Independent Advisory Board to act as a sounding board and to champion innovation and ongoing service development. Our Board members have an impressive combination of financial, legal and elderly care knowledge and experience.

Rigorous Selection Process

We invest time and money in ensuring that we recruit only the highest calibre Personal Assistants. Following initial interview, candidates complete a custom-built personality profile based on the behaviours and competencies related to their role. This profile also contributes to our initial training needs analysis in terms of identifying areas for future learning and development.

Care Quality Commission's Five Key Questions

CQC inspectors use their professional judgement, supported by objective measures and evidence, to assess services against five key questions:

  • Are they safe?

  • Are they effective?

  • Are they caring?

  • Are they responsive to people’s needs

  • Are they well-led?

What is meant by safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led?

Safe

By safe, we mean that people are protected from abuse and avoidable harm.

Effective

By effective, we mean that people's care, treatment and support achieves good outcomes, promotes a good quality of life and is based on the best available evidence.

Caring

By caring, we mean that the service involves and treats people with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.

Responsive

By responsive, we mean that services  meet people's needs.

Well-led

By well-led, we mean that the leadership, management and governance of the organisation assures the delivery of high-quality and person-centred care, supports learning and innovation, and promotes an open and fair culture.
